Empowering First-Gen, Low-Income Students in Massachusetts
Mayville Academy is an initiative founded in 2024 by members of the Sai Baba New England Temple in Groton, who were inspired by the teachings of Sai to serve their community. Our mission is to expand access to financial, academic, and leadership resources for first-generation, low-income students across Massachusetts. We tackle structural barriers by offering mentorship, guidance, and practical tools that help students navigate both academic and professional paths. Grounded in the principles of service, compassion, and empowerment, Mayville Academy provides support that equips students with the confidence and resources they need to succeed on their own terms.
Our Impact
In just two years, Mayville Academy has donated nearly half a million dollars to support first-generation, low-income students across Massachusetts. This funding has come from generous contributions by members of the New England Sai Baba Temple community as well as corporate sponsors who share our mission. These resources have helped remove financial barriers, provide essential academic tools, and create leadership opportunities for students who might otherwise be overlooked.

Mayville Academy, a diverse educational institution, welcomes students from all backgrounds. Founded by members of the Hindu community, we embrace inclusivity and respect for all cultures and beliefs. As a result, we do NOT consider religion in any of our programs.
